Finca Nuevo México is a family-run business, from its very beginnings to the present day. Founded by Don Ricardo Baumann in 1964, who immigrated to Mexico from Germany in 1926. Since then, the farm has formally begun operations in the coffee industry, and we have over 50 years of experience in Arabica coffee production.
It is located in the Custepec Valley Basin, the highest and driest coffee-growing area in Mexico. It is part of the El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve, located in the Sierra Madre de Chiapas mountains and part of the Mesoamerican Biological Corridor. It is a protected natural area belonging to the International Network of Biosphere Reserves recognized by UNESCO.
